Inspirational Friday: 4/1!

Happy April Fool's Day! Fun fact: Did you Know that today, April Fool's day has Religious roots,  it is not per se a Religious Holiday, but its' origin is tied with Pope Gregory XIII. He established the Gregorian calendar which replaced the Julian calendar as the official calendar for the Christian world. This change made January 1st the beginning of the New Year instead of April 1st, so whoever celebrated April 1st as the beginning New Year was called a Fool. So that's how you get Happy April Fool's Day!

Prayer for a Sick Person

O Father of mercies and God of all comfort, our only help in time of need: 

We humbly beseech thee to behold, visit, and relieve thy sick servant N. for whom our prayers are desired. 

Look upon him with the eyes of thy mercy; comfort him with a sense of thy goodness; 

preserve him from the temptations of the enemy;

and give him patience under his affliction. 

In thy good time, restore him to health, 

and enable him to lead the residue of his life in thy fear, 

and to thy glory; 

and grant that finally he may dwell with thee in life everlasting; 

through Jesus Christ our Lord.
