Photo Shoot: New York, Lizards, and More!
This is a photo shoot of our trip to New York, last Summer. I love seeing the hustle and bustle of the energy of the city. The lights on Broadway, the empire state building, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and Rockafeller center are what make people come back to NYC.
However, there is another part of NY often overlooked: the many homeless men, women, and children who live there. I recently watched a film, "Outcasts," that showcased the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal's work with the poor in the roughest places in the world. I strongly recommend the film which sheds light to the great courage and faith of these friars who put their life on the line to serve Christ through serving the poor and needy. A Grassroots Film Documentary and Winner of the Justice Film Festival's "Best Justice Film" (which I was lucky enough to attend), I definitely recommend watching this film. In the midst of the noise, we found a tiny oasis.
