Wednesday's Quotes: Hope!

Wednesday's Quotes is when I post five quotes on a topic, this topic for this week is Hope, I will give you my top ten quotes for hope starting with number one!

1. "And now, LORD, for what do I put my HOPE? You are my only HOPE." -Psalm 39:8

What do we put our hope in? our job, our family, maybe ourselves, but this Psalm says we should put our hope in the lord, the maker of the Heavens and Earth, Matthew 6:26 says, "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable."

2."That fear is useful which is buoyed up by HOPE and is not weighed down by despair." - St. Isid. Hisp.

How can Fear be useful? St. Isid. Hisp. explains it if your fear is "buoyed" by hope than your fear is useful, but this Saint also gives us another guideline don't letg your fear, be "weighed" down by despair, this is a hard task because when one is scared many turn to despair, instead of Hoping. But if we rely on the Lord to help us, we can always have hope.

3. "If you do not HOPE, you will not find what is beyond your HOPES." -St. Clement of Alexandria 

This quote embodies hope, it says if you  don't have hope how will you ever find what is beyond your hopes.

4. "Pray, HOPE, don't worry!" -Padre Pio

"Pray, Hope, don't worry,  Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer." Prayer and hope go hand in hand, can one tie your shoe laces without both hands? No, you need both to complete your task, though this quote is short it means alot, worrying will lead you nowhere, but Praying and Hoping will.

5. "For I know the plans I have for you declares the LORD, plans to give you HOPE and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11

God has a plan for your life, you might not see it now, but it is a plan full of Hope and love.
