An Advent of Inspiration: Day 25!

Christmas is only in a few days, and as I watch the snow melt away before my eyes, I am reminded of snowmen. Did you know that the snowmen have a Christian message? Who built the first snowman is unknown, but we do that there is proof that this iconic symbol of Christmas and Winter go as back as the Middle Ages. Snowman have been passed on from generation and it has become a staple in Christmas tradition and pop culture. However, each of the traditional pieces to a snowman, the carrot nose and the scarf all have Christian Meaning!

Loving God,

It is growing in my heart:

An awareness and gratitude of your constant love for me;

Like the sun rising in the East

to warm and comfort my life

and to bring new growth.

Thank you for these weeks of prayer. 

In the spirit of the season 

my waiting, my patience, 

feels sacred.

Bless my heart with generosity 

and make me ready to receive you.

Come, Lord Jesus!  Come!

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel 

Shall come to thee, O Israel!
